  1. What must I do to inherit eternal life? (Luke 18:18; Revelation 3:20; John 1:12; 1 John 1:9; Micah 6:8)
  2. Why do you call me good? (Luke 18:19; John 10:14; Psalm 23:6; Ezekiel 34:11-15)
  3. Who in the world can be saved? (Luke 18:20-30; Philippians 3:6; Galatians 2:21; Luke 10:25-28 / Deuteronomy 6:5; Micah 7:18; John 3:16; Mark 10:21; Psalm 62:10; Romans 1:19-20; Romans 2:14-15; Quote; Joshua 24:15)
Luke 18:18
18 Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: "Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?"

Revelation 3:20
20 Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

John 1:12
12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

1 John 1:9
9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Micah 6:8
8 The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Luke 18:19
19 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus asked him. "Only God is truly good."

John 10:14
14 I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me.

Psalm 23:6
6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

Ezekiel 34:11-15
11 For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search and find my sheep.12 I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. 13 I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers and in all the places where people live. 14 Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills. 15 I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign LORD.

Luke 18:20-30
20 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: 'You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.'" 21 The man replied, "I've obeyed all these commandments since I was young." 22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said, "There is still one thing you haven't done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." 23 But when the man heard this he became very sad, for he was very rich. 24 When Jesus saw this, he said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God! 25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" 26 Those who heard this said, "Then who in the world can be saved?" 27 He replied, "What is impossible for people is possible with God." 28 Peter said, "We've left our homes to follow you." 29 "Yes," Jesus replied, "and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, 30 will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come."

Philippians 3:6
6 I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault.

Galatians 2:21 (Scripture)
21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Luke 10:25-28 / Deuteronomy 6:5
25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: "Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?" 26 Jesus replied, "What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?" 27 The man answered, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" 28 "Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you will live!"

Micah 7:18
18 Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people?

John 3:16
16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Mark 10:21
21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. "There is still one thing you haven't done," he told him. "Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Psalm 62:10
10 Don't make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don't make it the center of your life.

Romans 1:19-20
19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Romans 2:14-15
14 Even Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. 15 They demonstrate that God's law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.

When you see wicked people living in lust and happiness while godly ones live in poverty and pain, let your trust in God be great and humble. Who are you, that you sh ould have the impudence to know the ways of the One, or search the paths of the Incomprehensible? It is enough that you know what is required for your own righteousness. So be silent before God's righteousness, which is far beyond your grasp. - Else Schubert-Christalle

Joshua 24:15
Choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.
